Founded in 1963 as Albany ARC (Advocacy Resource Center), The Arc of Southwest Georgia is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. By always putting people first, The Arc has grown to become one of the largest and most successful private-provider agencies in Georgia.

The Arc of Southwest Georgia is an affiliate of The Arc‘s national network of more than 600 state and local chapters. The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
