Independent Living Program

What is Adult Day/Independent Living?

Designed to meet the needs of adults 21 years and older with developmental disabilities, this program provides services to individuals who are in need of day programming and offers instruction in self-help skills, socialization, safety, exercise, and functional skills for daily independent living.

Our Adult Day is a center-based program designed to provide individualized, person-centered programming, outside the home for adults with developmental disabilities. Services provided are based on individual needs and preferences. Activities are geared towards education, socialization with peers, increased community access and integration, improvement of nutritional and healthy lifestyle, and independent living skills.

Adult Day Center

Depending on each individual’s needs and desires, our services may include:

  • Recreational activities such as day trips, shopping, arts activities and games
  • Educational Classes such as, counting money, writing, cooking and nutrition, horticulture and science
  • Exercise
  • Volunteer Activities
  • Social interaction Skill Development
  • Community Integration Activities
  • Cultural Enrichment Activities
  • Music Enrichment Program
  • Comfort Dog Interaction
